Pontins is rated as a Level 2 contributor to
broad-based BEE and prioritises ownership
participation by loyal employees. The
company’s original BEE transformation policy
was founded on the following guidelines,
which dovetail neatly into the B&W group of
companies’ current transformation strategy:

  • BEE should  not be a reshuffling of shares, but
    aligned to strategy to enable real transformation;
  • All employees should be creatively engaged in the
    transformation process; and
  • All areas of B-BBEE scorecarding should be
    prioritised, strategised and aggressively pursued to
    achieve realistic and equitable targets.

Pontins staff have been successfully incorporated into the
B&W Employee Share Incentive Scheme.
