Materials
All materials, conductors, connections and surge
protection units are manufactured in accordance
with the relevant codes of practice - sub-standard
materials are prohibited in terms of purchase or
manufacture and strict processes are in place to
ensure adherence.

Designs
A protection system is designed in accordance with relevant local
as well as international standards and best practice, taking into
consideration the specific site’s aesthetics and conditions.

Installations
On all projects the installation of the protection systems is digitally
recorded, which is invaluable in ensuring verification in light of the
fact that most materials are buried beneath the surface or cast in
concrete. The images are intended to verify that all:

• conductors are the correct size and dimension;
• conductors are installed in the correct positions;
• cast-in items are installed in the correct positions;
• sub-terra connections are of the correct quality; and
• super-terra connections are in the correct positions and installed
correctly.

Commissioning
All the necessary test results are digitally recorded and logged in
the handover documentation.  By digitally recording the test results
clients are assured of full testing and results within acceptable limits.

Handover documentation
The handover documentation includes:

• a quality control photo report (including digital photographs taken
onsite during   installation);
• a test report (including all test results and digital photographs of the
various tests performed);
• as-built drawings (including SABS certification on request);
• lightning protection compliance certification;
• digital copies; and
• a one-year warranty on all workmanship and materials.
